Online Wheel Draw — a customizable random picker for any decision
Wheel Draw lets you add your own options. The interface cycles through them quickly and lands on one at random — the classic cure for choice paralysis. Great for picking dinner, splitting into groups, raffles, and more — supports an unlimited number of items.
How to use Wheel Draw
- 1Type each option on its own line in the text box
- 2Click "Start Draw" — the options start cycling quickly
- 3When it stops, the selected option is highlighted
What can you decide with Wheel Draw?
The big difference from Finger Draw: with Wheel Draw, the options come from you — so it doesn't just pick people, it shines at choosing between things:
What's for dinner
List your usual spots once, and "what do you feel like?" becomes "what does the wheel say." Options can be repeated on purpose: want beef noodles twice as likely to win? Type it twice. You define the weights.
Groups and turn order
Presentation order, camp team assignments, raffle sequence — paste the list, draw once, and the process is right there on the screen. No more "your slip of paper was bigger" debates.
Mini raffles and party segments
Office parties, class events, live-stream giveaways all work. List the prizes, and the winning item is highlighted on screen with an animated reveal — ceremony and fairness in one.
Closing a personal debate
Should you work out today? Buy that thing? Hand the options to the wheel — when you were going to pick at random anyway, one unaccountable decision is all you needed.
4 tricks to make the wheel more fun
- 1
Keep it to 6–8 options
Too few and it's over in a blink; too many and the text rotation slows down and gets hard to read. 6 to 8 is the sweet spot between suspense and readability. Over ten items? Split the draw into two rounds.
- 2
Break deadlocks with a third option
Two options deadlocked? Deliberately add "neither, discuss later" or "cook at home." A third option breaks the loop faster than ten more rounds of arguing.
- 3
Hide one wildcard
Tuck "loser pays next time" or "one lap around the block" between the tasty options. Suddenly every draw carries extra stakes — and everyone bets on whether that option will hit. Parties remember this.
- 4
Agree on the rules first
Before the first draw, settle it: no re-rolls once it lands; changing your mind means drawing again. Randomness with rules is a game — randomness without rules is just another excuse to keep debating.
